Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me show these 4 and 5 year olds the beauty of nature as they observe and record caterpillars transforming into beautiful butterflies!

This book will teach them the lifecycle of a butterfly but these caterpillars will SHOW them.

The children will watch and learn as the caterpillars eat , grow and create a safe haven. They can see them emerging from the cocoon and gain their strength to fly.

In the school yard, we will invite the families as we release them to the trees and hope to see them again at recess.

We will encourage the children to paint and dictate what they saw as a way to record this experience.
