This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a kindergarten team, we are dedicated to giving our youngest learners the very best start to their education. Our students come to school eager to learn, but with very different needs and abilities. In order to help every child reach their fullest potential, we need reliable and efficient tools to track their progress in real time.

ESGI (Educational Software for Guiding Instruction) is a one-on-one online assessment platform that allows teachers to quickly and accurately measure student growth in essential kindergarten skills, including: Counting to 100 by 1’s and 10’s, Identifying letters and their sounds, Segmenting sounds in CVC words, Identifying colors, shapes, and numbers (0–20), and Tracking progress across all academic goals.

Without ESGI, progress monitoring can take hours each week, time that pulls us away from instruction and small-group learning. With ESGI, we can assess a student in minutes, see instant results, and adjust instruction immediately to meet their needs.

This software will allow us to share clear, easy-to-read reports with parents, helping them understand their child’s strengths and areas for growth. It will also help us tailor our instruction, provide targeted interventions, and celebrate every milestone along the way.

Due to budgetary cuts at our school, we do not have access to this program unless we fund it ourselves. By supporting this project, you are helping every kindergartner in our team of classrooms build the strong foundation they need in reading, writing, and math — and beyond.
