This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our English language learners will benefit enormously with the microphones because they will ask each other questions and give samples and non-examples of different tasks to project their voices. Speaking is a huge component when learning the new language and they can start breaking the Silence period by listening to their classmates and feeling safe when using their microphones and their big voices. I would like for our English learners to listen to each other to reflect on sentences and questions that make sense to them. Having the audio system will improve their listening and Speaking abilities, therefor will improve their confidence, fluency and their comprehension. I would like to be able to print some color images for them to work with their partners on different projects such as improving their vocabulary and their ability to make connections through activating their background knowledge. I would like to provide opportunities for them to share their own experiences and culture using images to show off their cultures and costumes.
