Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our classroom library needs some love and additions. I would like our library to have more engaging books for students to want to read and explore. All the books on our wish list are books that I know students are drawn to. I also have added a few award winning books for our students to explore as well.
It is important that students see themselves in our classroom library books, where they are represented, where they can relate to and most importantly books that they see their cultures, traditions, and lives in.
Our diversity is represented by the diversity of the books in our wish list. My goal is to engage our young students into the beautiful world of books, allowing them to dream and see themselves in our books.
