My students need Mountain Math and Language to get weekly review of key concepts in these subjects. They also need a collection of learning games.

My Students

Have you ever done great on a test only to forget the concepts a few days later? Well my students face this challenge too. I am seeking materials to provide fun, effective, and interesting ways to review key concepts learned throughout the year, so the learning can stick.

A large majority of my students come from lower income families that qualify for free and reduced-price lunch.

There is also a tremendous difference in learning levels. Despite the challenges they love to learn and are very ambitious. Their passion for learning helps us overcome many obstacles to their individual success.

My Project

Mountain Math and Language will be a weekly assignment. There are about 20 questions that cover key concepts students are expected to master in 4th grade. They will be completing the assignments during rotations in small groups. The frog games are fun educational games in which students answer questions in a specific subject to advance. The subjects included are for math, thinking skills, and language. This kit also includes several practice and review books, and fun learning posters.

Frequent practice and review leads to long term memory and skills.

If we are going to teach students, our goal should never be to teach a skill long enough to pass a test, but to teach a skill for life. Your donations will help students master key 4th grade content for life giving them a much better foundation to succeed for the rest of their lives.
