Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students attend a Title I community school in the southwest where students are valued and celebrated in every classroom, but once they step out of the safe boundaries of the school, they are often underrepresented in society because of their demographics.
100% of my students qualify for free breakfast and lunch, and 100% of them have great potential!
My students come to school daily where they are fed through words and nutrients and loved.
My Project
Hello All! My students are wrapping up our first read aloud chapter book of the school year and we need a new one. What better than the children's classic Frog and Toad!
This beloved classic series has been read to many children for more than 40 years and I would love to read aloud this book about adventure and friendship to my first graders!
Every student will have a book (with all four stories in the Frog and Toad series) to take home so there will be a school-to-home connection during this literacy unit. And I also requested a Teacher's Pay Teachers gift card to supplement and support students' learning during this literacy unit with additional digital resources.
