This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

As a kindergarten teacher, I am often the first educational experience for most of my students. As their very first teacher my job is very very important. I want to foster a love for learning in each and every one of my scholars. In order to build a strong community of readers I want to do a book study with my scholars with the book "Frog and Toad are Friends".

Scientific studies show that reading aloud to children help develop their comprehension, language development, engagement and a life long love of reading.

I am excited to give my students this opportunity to build a stronger classroom community, unlock deeper learning, enhance their reading comprehension, and offer authentic opportunities to build their vocabulary. Thank you for your support.
