My Students
I teach physical education at a Title I school in Ogden. We have no funds to update equipment needed to maintain the PE program. I would love to get some foam Frisbees to lower the injuries that come from the plastic frisbees that I am currently using, I want the students to find joy in fitness through a sport they can excel at. Students will have more confidence from not being afraid to catch the softer Frisbees. It will be more enjoyable for them.
My Project
I am hoping to give my PE students exposure to new skills. Having these foam Frisbees will keep students safe while learning a new sport skill. This will help them stay active and healthy by finding joy in fitness through sports. Foam Frisbees will lessen injuries so all students are in a safe and happy environment. I would love these students to be exposed to something new like Frisbee sports. Learning a new skill will help them stay active and give confidence to try new things. This will help in teaching Frisbee throwing skills, as less children will be hurt from the softer Frisbees.
