Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
After standardized testing, we are hoping to do a whole class book study on the book, Frindle. This book study will give kids the ability to practice all of the skills we have been learning all year-- fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary. When each student has their own copy of the book, they will be able to follow along, and go back into the book.
Our fifth graders are hard-working, and love to read novels.
They are a mix of regular education students, special education students, and English Language Learners. We will read the book, Frindle together as a class and then differentiate the tasks they will complete about the book. We are so excited to pilot this project!
