This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our middle school was fortunate to have major donors install a "Fitness Zone" on our campus in 2013. It is a physical fitness activity center (aka "Playground") for tweens and adults and has been used everyday since it was installed. It is a great asset to our school and enjoyed by all students. Of course, over the past twelve years, it has taken some wear and tear. Our band students are trying to re-vamp the fitness zone as a community service project, learning the value of volunteering our time to make our community better. A little cleaning, replacing small parts and new paint will make it look like new. Sadly, one of the twelve major stations cannot be refurbished and needs to be completely replaced.

Our students would love your help with providing the supplies to refresh our fitness zone to get it back to "Good as New" condition.

Our students will also learn how to fix things instead of replacing them, helping them become better stewards of the environment. We would love your support in helping to make this project happen.
