This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project will provide baking equipment for students in or Skills For Learning & Life program to bake cookies and sell them. This valuable experience teaches our students life and workforce skills including kitchen basics and safety, customer interactions, social skills development, customer service and more. We really need this oven. Currently our teacher is taking the cookie dough home and baking it every night but our students could really benefit from seeing the whole process through.
