Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I would like to enhance our classroom library and provide ways for my students to access their materials in an organized manner.

The idea for this project is to "maximize" student learning.

Storage drawers will assist with organizing daily center materials. Each group of students will be able to access assignments easily as well as have a place to turn in completed work.

Privacy folders will aid with student concentration and focus during assessments or individualized learning.

The tabletop dry erase board will give students a closer look during small group when blending and decoding words. The board will also be utilized for small group math intervention.

Leveled readers will provide a wider range of differentiated texts which will be readily available to meet student reading levels and boost their interests in reading.

My students are special because they work beyond their capabilities each day. They strive to turn sour lemons into sweet lemonade as they learn and grow with a fresh start each day.
