Fresh Writing Supplies Needed!

Help me give my students supplies for our writing and reading centers. We are constantly in need of writing paper for all varieties of writing and storage bins to store our diverse collection of books.

My Students

My project is inspired by my students and their need for fresh writing supplies. I want to make sure students have plenty of chances to engage with writing during writer's workshop.

My students are a second and third grade, multi-age group, and come from diverse backgrounds.

We are at a public, K-8, large city school with many needs. Our students love coming to school and thoroughly enjoy sharing their learning and creating new ideas. We use an integrated arts curriculum with all students. Our art teachers collaborate with classroom teachers in bringing meaningful content to our students. We all work together to engage our students to see the whole picture.

My Project

The requested materials will help us stock up on necessary supplies in our classroom. We write daily, and therefore we need fresh writing paper, spelling books, and folders so that we can continue to build our writing skills. Therefore I am requesting composition ruled paper, spelling books, and divided folders. We also need sturdy book boxes so that they will hold up to classroom use and provide space for our reading materials. Therefore I am requesting metal racks with a book box for each student. The requested supplies will allow me to differentiate our learning and meet students at their level of understanding in reading and writing. Our classroom is a busy and engaging place with many diverse needs.

Students are working on different things and sharing with each other continually.

This way we all learn from each other. The above mentioned supplies will help keep students engaged and learning.
