Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

The school community I serve has a diverse group of scholars each bringing their own light and wealth of knowledge. To support this generation is a honor and can sometimes be difficult to do alone. Utilizing the support and ideas of fellow educators has helped me to become more creative and effective in my own instruction. Most of my first grade students will come in below grade level so, to support their growth, I want to make sure to plan out our year in an effective manner.

With these gift cards, scholars will have access to sound boxes, literacy activities as well as small group math activities to engage them during small group instruction.

The gift cards in this project will allow me to provide my students with a more organized classroom and activities that will guide their instruction. My overall goal is to create a joyful, effective and engaging learning environment students are excited for every day!
