Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As this school year is closing out, and the anticipation off a new school year sets in, I have looked at what supplies I have depleted and what things would be helpful for the upcoming school year. Several students do not bring supplies at all, or the ones they do bring are given away at supply drives, so they are not the supplies needed for our class.
For this project, I am asking for new blue plastic take home folders for each student.
These last longer than paper ones, and have the brads to hold important information. To hold that information in the brads, I need clear sheet protectors. I am also asking for clear pockets for student's name tags to go on their desk.
Having fresh supplies in our learning environment makes everyone feel good! I am also asking for more book bins to put in our library center, as well as, caddies to use on tables to store necessities. Lastly, I teach my students whole group lessons on the classroom carpet. For the past four years, I have stood over them to read, teach, and more. I would love to be able to sit while reading to them, so I asked for a chair to put at the end of the carpet to be able to do this.
