This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a second-year teacher this year. It has always been my dream to have my very own classroom. I have been in education for nine years. I am excited to make a difference in my students’ lives. Nearly all of my students are from low-income households and are transported to my school from all parts of the school district.

My students are 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th graders.

They work diligently to overcome the challenges of their disabilities and strive to be their best. I know they will challenge me, but I am excited to find ways to help them. I know teaching multiple grade levels to students who are at, below, and above grade level will be demanding and rewarding at the same time.

People say, "It takes a village...," and I have learned that it truly takes a village to meet the needs of every student in my classroom. For this reason, I do my best to creatively provide them with what they need. I want to make our classroom a positive, safe, clean, and inviting space and a space where they feel happy and want to come to class each day.

My Project

Please help me give my students a fresh look into the new school year with a new theme and decorations to brighten up our learning space and promote a new learning vibe. My students love and get excited about being part of changing up our classroom. My students come in with many different struggles, having a fresh environment for their learning gets them a push to reset and back into the learning groove. My students have many forms of disabilities but they all have a common interest in our classroom decor and vibe.
