The purpose of this project is to request funding for new science fair boards that will enhance the educational experience for our students during the upcoming science fair. Science Fairs provide an invaluable opportunity for students to engage in hands-on learning, develop critical thinking skills, and showcase their creativity and scientific knowledge. However, our current boards are outdated and do not meet the needs of our students.
Science fairs have been a tradition at our school for over a decade but our boards are almost a decade old, too!!
Our current science fair boards are in disrepair and students and teachers have to re-cover the boards every year, in order to reuse them for their projects. This limits the students' ability to effectively present their projects and diminishes the overall quality of the event. This is also a time consuming process involving a large amount of butcher paper and scotch tape! Science Fairs allowing students to explore scientific concepts and present their findings to peers, teachers, and families and we don't want the recycled boards to take away from the overall effect.
