My Project
Because our school serves a large number of homeless students or students living in hotels, clean clothes are often hard to come by.
Families shouldn't have to choose between feeding their children or washing their clothes.
We need laundry detergent to give to our families so they can come to school in clean clothes. I have seen students so embarrassed by their dirty clothing that they keep a jacket on to cover themselves in 100-degree weather or don't wear a jacket in the rain in hopes that rainwater will clean their uniform. While they clean their clothes they will have an opportunity to clean their bodies with the bath soaps. Though their environment may not be conducive to learning, my students have an insatiable love of learning! I know that if we provide them with the proper support, resources, and opportunities, they will become successful. Please help our students come to school fresh and fearless so they can do their best.
