Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Studies show that reading is the fastest way to acquire language and these book will create a classroom library that is accessible to French learners at all levels. The majority of the books selected are bilingual with the story in French and English on the same page.

This allows students to analyze the way French is composed in comparison to their native English language.

They have the tools to understand the story with all the support they need during independent reading time.

Since these books are accessible to all levels, I will also use them on field trips to middle and elementary schools in hopes of promoting the French program at our school to ensure its longevity- preventing low enrollment in future years.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
