My students need liquid nitrogen storage so we can use our cloud chambers. We actually have around 10 cloud chambers bought way back when. Cryogenics is also cool.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Physics students need to see cool and memorable demonstrations. Help us shatter frozen flowers, implode aluminum cans, and see particles streaming through a cloud chamber.

My students love cool demonstrations.

You can see their eyes and minds light up when they see something new and exciting. My students are high school physics students. We are a California public high school in a large city. My students are very diverse in ethnicity as well as income and come from all types of households, including none at all.

My Project

Some physics demonstrations are so unique and cool that you remember them forever. Seeing a frozen flower shatter when it is flicked with a finger, seeing an aluminum can implode in on itself, seeing particles from space stream though a cloud chamber, all of these are experiments that students will always remember.

Give kids and teachers the tools to make science exciting!

There's no money for things like this in our science budget. This is one of those things that would be cool to have, but without you, we just can't get.
