This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The specific items requested will help all athletes increase their strength, endurance, and agility. The plyometric box helps with explosive power training that uses muscles to produce rapid, forceful movements. The medicine balls assists with building strength, balance stability and coordination. The actual basketballs will be used to teach one how to dribble, shoot and pass the ball. Regarding the blocking pads, this will assist in defense as well as learning how to take contact. The grip spray basically increases and improves traction.
Our goal is to teach all athletes basketball fundamentals and sportsmanship, which will not only improve their game but also provide a solid foundation for good citizenship and leadership as they grow.
What makes my students special is their drive to succeed and hold one-another accountable. Our goal is to impart values such as self-accountability, responsibility, leadership and dignity. These things teach life lessons and help with stability. Every individual needs a balance.
