My Students
I teach a group of amazing and curious third graders in South Jamaica, Queens. They are kind, inclusive, and eager to learn! My focus this year is to ensure that my students learning remotely, are getting the same quality education as the students learning in person.
My students are enthusiastic and dedicated and motivate me to try to create new and exciting ways to keep them engaged.
They are stepping up and rising to the challenges that this year has presented. Help me, help them!
My Project
There are so many benefits of flexible seating! Studies show that giving students options can help increase engagement and performance. Students feel empowered by having some degree of choice and control over their learning environment. Flexible seating allows students to choose where they work. It allows them to change their location and position as needed. It helps keep young minds alert and focused. Flexible seating allows students to quickly and easily pair up and work together.
The results of flexible seating are a more active, engaged, enthusiastic, and relaxed group of students.
