This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are heritage speakers of Spanish, where their proficiency and literacy skills vary. There is no better way for them to build proficiency in the language without a great reading program. The more they read, the better they will express themselves when writing and speaking.
I want to offer them books where they can see themselves and build a connection with the characters.
I want to provide good-quality books that help them grow and make them feel proud of the language they have inherited. Your contribution will make a great difference to us.
