Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We currently have a Free Little Library located right outside of our school for the community. As a school we always try our best to keep this community free library stocked with books that are appropriate for all. However, at times is hard to find books that both represent the diverse cultures in our community as well as their reading levels. We also struggle to get donations of books in good condition for others to enjoy.
For this project, my class chose books that would be on various levels but also represent all the community members races, and religions.
These books are some that we currently have in our classroom that we feel the community would love to ha e access to!
My hope is that with this project we will be able to ensure this free library will constantly be stocked and accessible for all community members. As a class we will put the books along with other supplies in a ziplock to allow for easy "grab and go".
