Help me give my students the means to go to Alcatraz Island in San Francisco. My students and my aides need to ride the BART train and the SFMTA street car to get there and back to school.

My Students
My students belong to a grades 9 through 12 extensive support needs self-contained class. They have varying and unique needs, same as any set of typical peers, but they have the biggest hearts. They work together despite some hardships and they continue to challenge each other to be better each day.
My students take pride in their work.
They love hands on activities such as crafts, gardening, food preparation and even chores. As part of the Generation Z, my guys love technology! For them, school is one of the places to be.
My Project
Big trips for our classroom foster interdependence and team building within my group of students. It is not far from what regular adults deal with in everyday life, wherein we need each other's help and we are each other's resources in getting to point B from point A and back.
With your help, my students will have the opportunity to practice and apply their learned mobility and purchasing skills.
Knowing that they are going to Alcatraz Prison, one of SF's most popular spots, using 2 modes of public transportation, is absolutely going to motivate them to practice their skills needed to reach their destination. I'm looking forward to see my students access and use their community environments completely and as independently as they can.
