As a pre-school teacher of special needs students, I am aware of the struggles my children and families face every day. These children come to school every day ready to learn all they can.
I believe in my children and feel they may be successful at becoming whatever they may choose in life.
They are loving, caring and highly motivated children who want desperately to learn all they can. They take great pride in their school, themselves and one another. They need and want your help.
My Project
By providing Kinetic Sand in my classroom, you will be helping students with fine motor skills and sensory processing skills.
Because of its soft, non-sticky texture, students who are sensitive to or who avoid messy play experiences are more likely open to play with Kinetic Sand.
Because Kinetic Sand can be squeezed it provides deep pressure, which is a form of tactile input that is calming and organizing to the body. This is great for those kids who need that sensory input.
Also, because it can be squeezed, smashed and squished, the fine motor benefits are endless.
With you generous donation, my students will be able to explore all of the possibilities Kinetic Sand has to offer.
