Free Book Fair

Help me give my students books for the Free Book Fair to promote literacy in our community.

My Project

My school offers a Free Book Fair during our themed parent/community nights. Students selected these particular books to be offered the Free Book Fair. They will continue to lead the charge at the Free Book Fair Booth by setting up the books, helping community members select books and fill out the survey, and cleaning up afterward. By doing so, students will earn community service learning hours needed for graduation while promoting literacy.

Providing free books to families and the community will promote literacy.

Many of our families and surrounding community come from low-income households. By offering these requested books, students and their families are more likely to read and read together, ultimately improving reading fluency and comprehension. These are skills that they will use throughout their lives.
