My students need their own copy of "Freckle Juice" to fully enjoy and appreciate the value and reading this wonderful book.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
o you remember what it was like the first time you read a book that you couldn't put down? My students have not yet discovered books that capture their imaginations, but they have also not yet met Judy Blume.
My second grade students are striving to become fluent readers and writers.
I teach in a rural Pennsylvania town and have students with various abilities and needs. I am looking to acquire these class sets of books to have literature for the various levels of students in my class.
Having a book in your hands and actively participating in reading makes all the differences. Each school year my goal is to provide books that my students will love and therefore they will develop a natural love for reading. The book Freckly Juice by Judy Blume will specifically be used with my more struggling readers. It is a easy chapter and it will give these students the confidence that they can read a chapter book with my help and I hope they will then continue to pick up and read other chapter books on their own.
Reading is the foundation to every child's education.
At the primary level I try to provide the environment where reading is a passion for my students. I read as often as I can and at this influential age I truly believe the experiences I provide them in reading now will shape them into a life time of reading.
