My Students
The students who attend the high school I teach at are very similar to the students with whom I grew up with. They each have their own challenges but for the most part, they work hard and want to do the right thing.
Our school serves students in grades 9-12 and provides rigorous academics, fantastic teachers, and a safe learning environment.
The students are diverse in every sense of the word. They have a real love of technology, but our school is severely lacking in the technology to get them to the next level.
My Project
FIRST robotics FRC Team 5507 engages students in the ultimate project-based STEM experience. Students develop and apply skills in math, computer science, physics, and engineering, as well as participating in public relations, budgeting and finance, and community outreach. Since 2014, the team has seen consistent growth in the size and commitment of our team and our achievement at the First Robotics Competition.
The polycarbonate and aluminum sheets requested are useful for mounting the electronics and other devices that make the robot move.
We are part of an urban, public school and are committed to creating an equitable and non-cost prohibitive program for our students. Sponsor contributions keep the program active and accessible to all of our student members. Please help us keep our promise to our students and our program growing.
