FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Nimmer's classroom raised $169

My Students
My students are 3rd graders in a high needs school who are eager to learn, but need the proper materials to do so.
Donors Choose has been a great resource for my classroom in the past, but that was when I was teaching first grade.
I am now teaching third grade and we are in need of some age appropriate materials to learn our 3rd grade math topics. My students come from families that live in poverty, and attend a school that has been impacted by budget cuts. There aren't a lot of hands on activities that they can use to help strengthen their learning.
My Project
If generous people, like the ones here on Donors Choose, decide they want to help purchase materials for my classroom, I know the students would be thrilled. We like to have independent math stations set up around the classroom, and the materials we would receive would be perfect for those stations. The students would be able to work on their own, with a partner or even in a small group, to further enhance their understanding of multiplication and division if we had these materials. My students need write and wipe fraction lines, fractions discovery can, fraction equivalency puzzles, self checking fractions match-ups and fraction flash cards.
Donations to this project will help improve my classroom because it will give my students a hands on way to learn, rather than worksheets, workbooks and text books.
I am sure most people are like my students, the more hands on an activity is, the better they learn!
