This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A trend that I have noticed in the past few years in my students is that they struggle with fractions. With these class sets of fraction strips, students can get more personalized learning and don't have to share with other classmates.

My hope is to start fractions as soon as school starts so that they can refresh their memory of fractions and extend their knowledge using the manipulatives.

I can't wait to see the excitement on students' faces when they get their own set of fraction strips for the class period.
