This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Fractions and decimals are always tricky areas in the classroom. Being a first-year teacher this coming fall, I am building my inventory of necessities for the classroom. Having fraction and decimal manipulatives for the students will strengthen their knowledge.

Hands-on tools allow them to visually see what they are working with and help with a smoother learning process!

I will be teaching at a Title I school, and these kids are amazing and deserve so much more than I could ever give them. Anything to help them learn something new a little easier is what it's all about!
