it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Hello! I am about to teach 4th grade for the first time ever! I have previously taught 1st and 2nd. In preparation for 4th grade, I have taken math workshops for upper grades. Fractions are a BIG Common Core Standard in 4th grade.
Fraction tiles along with graph paper will aide with the implementation of the CRA math model (Concrete, Representational ,Abstract).
Fraction tiles will provide them with a Concrete example, and the Graph paper will help them Represent the model. The goal is for them to be able to tackle fraction concepts and have a solid understanding on the topic.
