Our classroom is colorful and full of life. But we do not have any updated technology for the whole class to use. The Elmo will help my students view and assess each other's work while gaining a perspective of specific strategies they should include in their work.
My students come from all ethnic backgrounds.
It looks like the United Nations. My school is a Title I school, which means that more than half of the families are low income. Students receive free breakfast and lunch daily. The school is full of positivity and the students really care about learning.
My Project
My students need a document camera. My students will use the Elmo to view each other's work. We will use the Elmo in writing where they can learn from one another about specific strategies that one used in their work and be able to share it with the whole class. We can also view videos about Colonial America and American Indians online which is part of the social studies curriculum.
Donations to this project will help my students realize that they can teach and learn from one another.
It will help my students become more independent as learners while helping them make a difference in each other's lives.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
