This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My arms are too short! The table in my classroom is not a good fit for small group instruction. It is very difficult to reach over and give my students feedback. My students are unable to sit with all their necessary materials and be comfortable while working in a small group.

My 27 first graders are an amazing group of students.

They are very eager to learn and explore new things. In my classroom, I have a mix between students with special needs and typical students. They attend a Title 1 school that goes from Pre-K to 5th grade.

My Project

With this table, I will be able to do guided math and reading instruction. This table will allow me to meet with small groups where I can then better meet their needs. I will be able to easily reach over and give instant feedback to my students while they are working. In exchange, my students will be close enough to ask and answer questions. Having this table will allow students to comfortably sit and use all their necessary materials without having space be an issue.

Donations to this project will make a huge difference in my classroom.

I will be able to give instant feedback to my students in my guided instruction. My students will also have a nice and stable meeting place to learn. There will be plenty of space for students to bring their materials and actively engage in their learning.
