My students need basic art classroom supplies necessary for learning the fundamentals of art. Students will be learning the elements of art and principles of design, and use these supplies to do so throughout the year.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are curious, creative, and inspiring to one another. Each student is unique and are always looking for new ways to express. They have high expectations for themselves as well as aspirations.
Students' goals include becoming a graphic designer, animator, entrepreneur, fashion designer, and makeup artist.
With dreams so big, they will need the right tools to succeed. Students will need to know the fundamentals of art including the elements of art and principles of design.
These students work hard and deserve the learning tools that will help them build individual portolios, get accepted into art programs, and succeed in their field. To begin, students need basic classroom supplies to upkeep a stable learning environment, as well as art supplies. With the right tools, they can do anything!
My Project
These materials will make a difference in my students' learning, because for many of them it is their first time taking an art class at the high school level. Some students do not discover their interest in the arts until they take this course in high school. Currently, we lack the supplies needed for learning the basic elements of art and elements of design. Using these supplies, students will be able to learn, create, and understand the importance of art. Rulers, paper, and drawing supplies will be used for learning line, value, and shape, while painting supplies will be used for learning color. These supplies will be used every day of the upcoming school year.
