My Students
My students are a group of highly energetic and motivated first graders. They love to learn and delight in sharing their knowledge with others. My students come from diverse backgrounds and our school is located in a high needs area. With that in mind, I want to give my students every advantage that I can to be successful and reach their full potential. We learn from one another on a daily basis and strive to be cognizant of what we can do to help others through learning and caring. Being able to fully meet the diverse learning styles in my classrooms is something that I strive for on a daily basis.
My Project
These materials, Splash Games and Comprehension Journal will help my students build upon their strategies and soar to the next level. They will be engaged in skill based activities that will help make learning more meaningful and will also allow me to include a parent engagement piece by sending Splash Games home to be practiced with families so they can engage in their child’s learning with them making it meaningful to all! When families, students and teachers all work together- wonderful things can happen for the benefit of the all involved. I am so excited for this project for my community!
