Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are eager to learn. My ETK students do most of their learning about “foundational skills” when they come to the rug. Foundational skills is the foundation of students beginning to read by learning letters, and sounds, and how to blend them together. My students also come to me to work on counting and sorting coins for financial literacy. Having this double sided magnetic room divider will allow me to work with my ETK students in small group settings.
Students working together in small groups will help each other think critically, master course concepts, and apply them to real-world situations.
My students will be motivated toward a common goal and work together to support each other's learning. The magnetic room divider becomes an accessible whiteboard for the students write and draw on during small group learning opportunities.
