Fostering Student Independence

Help me give my students the ability to increase their independence in writing! The addition of these multi-purpose headphones with microphones will allow students to access speech-to-text and text-to-speech technology when producing their written work!

My Project

Students with reading and writing disabilities face many challenges in their school day. One area we are always working to increase at the high school level is student independence, which can be fostered by providing students access to assistive technology.

The headphones requested in this project will help students to increase independence by providing them with increased access to both text-to-speech and speech-to-text technology.

The headphone sets requested include microphones, so students can voice-type their own work, and then have that work read back to them electronically, making them less reliant on teacher support in order to complete their work.
