My Project
My students are from very diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. All are from low socioeconomic homes. Creating a culture of acceptance and independence is essential. A way in which students can achieve age-appropriate independence is by using visuals to scaffold the students to work independently at home and schools.
All of these materials will help students have a point of reference while learning even when unforeseen weather conditions occur such as hurricanes, tornados and etc.
Severe weather has caused our school system to decide to continue their learning remotely until conditions improve and these materials will help with learning both in school and at home. The desk labels will help students with strategies to remember math and reading skills. The copy paper and TeacherPayTeachers materials will provide more opportunities for me to download differentiated activities and visuals to print for student use. Finally, the laminator will protect the printed items so I can use the resources for a longer period of time, all of which I use both in class and send home.
