Fostering Fourth Grade Learning Styles Through Flexible Seating
My students need a bagel ball chair and book bins to help them keep their supplies and books in a safe place and that are sturdy and durable in the hands of children.

My Students
I love fourth grade! Students at this age are beginning to think outside the box and are still excited to discover and learn new things. My class is no exception. They are starting to express their own critical thinking skills and ask lots of thought provoking questions. In addition, leadership roles and responsibilities come into play and they are learning daily to step up (in little ways) to become important part of their classroom and school community.
This year I would like to allow my class more learning choices in my upper grade classroom by allocating flexible seating.
This also means that students will need to learn to be more organized with their supplies and materials. I am hoping that DonorsChoose can help me in this new adventure for my students.
My Project
We need your help in getting everything in the order placed in order to help transition my class in experiencing a new learning format. Flexible seating allows students to learn in a "flexible" style that works best for the student, not the teacher. The book bins will aid in keeping students organized since they will not have desks to keep their supplies. Students will be able to choose to sit at a low table with their comfortable bagel ball chair and stay focused in a whole new way. I'm excited about what the future holds for my class and appreciate any help in making this a reality.
