My Students
My students are identified gifted learners. They are passionate about learning and love to be at school. They have beautiful talents and gifts to share with the world!
My students thrive when they are exposed to challenging materials and projects that involve creativity and higher-level thinking skills.
Most students are reading at a high school and college level, are exploring complex math skills, and have ample knowledge about sciences. They thrive when participating in activities that stretch their thinking and where they are able to solve problems in the real world.
My Project
Flexible seating gives my students the opportunity to be able to choose how they want to learn. Choice is important in education because it allows students a voice in their learning. Empowering students will create the leaders of tomorrow!
These supplies will help my students move and learn at the same time!
This is especially important for some students who need to move to learn. A lot of my students learn best when they can move around and fidget. To help my students be successful, I will put out the flexible seating chairs and standing desks in different parts of the room. Students can choose a flexible seating option instead of a traditional seating option. This will allow them to move and learn!
Flexible seating will also be beneficial for group work as there will be different stations around the room where students can go to collaborate with their peers.
When this project is funded, it will create a successful and safe environment for students who would not be as successful in a traditional classroom environment.
