My Project

Providing each student with an air plant and materials to create upcycled plant holders will significantly impact their learning experience. By nurturing their own plant, students will directly observe the principles of photosynthesis and energy transfer in action. Crafting holders from upcycled materials will instill the values of sustainability and creative problem-solving.

In the arid climate of Las Vegas, it is essential for students to understand the significance of conserving water and exploring sustainable practices, so I am asking for air plants for each student, to be used along with found materials to create upcycled plant holders.

Our project aims to engage students in hands-on learning by offering practical applications of science concepts. Additionally, we seek to promote environmental awareness among students by encouraging eco-friendly practices through upcycling. This initiative also aims to nurture creativity and innovation by inspiring students to think creatively about repurposing materials.

Our 5th-grade students exhibit exceptional curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. They possess a natural inclination towards exploring the world around them and have demonstrated a keen interest in environmental stewardship. By supporting this project, you will not only help our students gain valuable scientific knowledge but also inspire them to become environmentally conscious citizens.
