Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The goal for this project is to give students a welcoming environment with materials that will foster their learning. This project will help assist about 60 fifth graders in a low income school. Our classrooms consists of students with disabilities that greatly benefit from these supplies. Many of out students are unable to afford supplies of their own. Your donation will help us obtain the supplies needed to better teach them.

Through the use of bulletin board papers and borders we are able to display student work, classroom rules, or educational content.

Using colorful or themed paper to create visually appealing displays that capture students' attention. It helps create interactive learning stations using bulletin board paper. For instance, they could design a math station where students solve problems and write their answers . We use our bulletin boards to create visual aids that can help students make connections between ideas and better understand complex concepts. The classroom supplies such as pens, pencils, markers, paperclips etc. will assist us in being organized for our students. It will help in writing lesson plans, notes, grading assignments, quizzes, and tests. Additionally it helps in organizing and securing documents, handouts, and student work. Integrating Alexa or similar voice-activated technologies into the classroom environment can offer several benefits for students with disabilities.

Voice-activated technology with Echo Show 15 15.6 inch Smart Display with Alexa and Fire TV can provide an accessible means of accessing information and resources for students with disabilities that may have difficulty with traditional methods of interaction, such as typing or navigating physical interfaces. Alexa can empower students with disabilities to independently perform tasks such as setting reminders, managing schedules, accessing educational materials, and even controlling smart devices in the classroom environment, promoting autonomy and self-reliance. We will also use Alexa as a guidance for students when signing in and out of the classrooms.
