it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work with a diverse group of students, each with unique skills, talents, and interests. This diversity, including varying reading abilities, creates a dynamic learning environment. I'm thrilled to introduce a project aimed at providing engaging and inclusive resources to our special students.
Our student population is incredibly diverse, hailing from various cultural, socio-economic, and linguistic backgrounds.
This diversity promotes acceptance, respect, and a deeper understanding of the world. Additionally, our students exhibit differing reading proficiencies, from avid readers to beginners and English Language Learners. Our goal is to accommodate all these unique needs.
To achieve this, we've carefully selected contemporary books relevant to our students' lives. These books bridge the gap for reluctant readers and challenge advanced ones, igniting a passion for reading. We've also prioritized diverse content and representation to create an inclusive reading list that resonates with our students' backgrounds. This fosters a sense of belonging.
Our project requests contemporary banned books and an inclusive retelling of Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet. These resources will enrich our students' learning experiences and help improve their reading proficiency. Your support is greatly appreciated, and our students will be thrilled to have access to these exciting books!
