Help me give my students books for a classroom library where they can foster a love of reading. A place where they can explore old and new worlds and worlds full of imagination. Books are doorways to lifelong learning.

My Project

My goal is to have a classroom library of books where students can foster a love of reading. A place where they can explore old and new worlds and worlds full of imagination. Books are doorways to lifelong learning. What I love most about my students is their resilience and youthfulness. Many of my students come from difficult backgrounds, whether that be they are socioeconomically disadvantaged, they are being raised by a single parent, they've just moved to America, or all of the above.

My students never lose the sparkle in their eyes, they are always filled with joy and hope.

I want them to have a library where they can fall into a book that they can relate or make a connection to; culturally or personally. A place that allows them to feel seen when they don't think anyone else relates to them. But also a place that provides worlds of stories and imagination to brighten their day.
