Fossilize Our Ancient iPad

Help me give my students an iPad. The current iPads at school don't interface with the Mac Air because they are too old. The new iPad will once again give me the capability to use with the Mac.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is a high-needs, low-income, Title I public school in the suburbs of Los Angeles, California. Our students excel because our school fosters academic excellence, and all of the teachers are committed to their students' success. The administrators, teachers, and parents collaboratively work toward developing each student into a future productive and successful citizens. Our school is a Science, Technology, Math Magnet and is committed to STEM education as well as character development.

I hope to instill in them a love of learning that will last a lifetime.

My students enthusiastically come to school inquisitive and excited to learn. You can help facilitate that! Your donation will give my students the tools they need to learn these valuable lessons that will stick with them as they grow.

Every child in my classroom comes to school with unique life challenges, educational, and social needs. As their teacher, it is my goal to differentiate the instruction to inspire each and every student to achieve at the highest level possible. I thrive on seeing those "Ah ha" moments and watching their eyes light up with understanding.

My Project

Current iPads at school are so old that we can't use them with our Macs. They can't support the software to interface. With a new iPad, I will be able to use it as a document camera while still at home.

Kids love to display, explain, and annotate their work.

With the iPad, I can display their work on the screen and the student can explain his/her thinking. We can add ideas through annotation with an Apple Pencil.

We need to keep up with technology and get our equipment communicating with a new iPad.
