Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I absolutely adore my students! Their curiosity, resilience, and unique perspectives never fail to inspire me. Each one brings something special to the classroom, and I'm dedicated to providing them with the best resources to support their learning journey.

For this project, my primary goal is to enhance their learning experience by providing them with specific resources tailored to their needs.

Here's how each item will make a difference:

A mobile whiteboard and a jumbo magnetic coordinate plane can be incredibly valuable tools in a math classroom for several reasons:

1. Interactive Teaching: With a mobile whiteboard, I can engage students in interactive math lessons. I can write out problems, draw diagrams, and demonstrate solutions in real-time, allowing students to visualize mathematical concepts more clearly. This hands-on approach helps to make abstract ideas more concrete and accessible to students of all learning styles.

2. Flexibility and Adaptability: The mobility of the whiteboard means I can easily move it around the classroom to accommodate different teaching and learning scenarios. Whether I'm conducting a whole-class lesson, facilitating small group discussions, or providing one-on-one support, having a portable whiteboard allows me to adapt my teaching approach to meet the needs of diverse learners.

3. Visual Representation of Coordinates: The jumbo size and magnetic nature of the coordinate plane make it highly visible and interactive. By placing magnetic markers or objects on the grid, students can visually represent points, lines, shapes, and functions, allowing them to better understand the relationship between numerical coordinates and geometric positions.

Composition notebooks will be incredibly helpful with student organization, note-taking, documentation and practice of in-class and homework problems.
