This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My project will help my students experiment with and understand physics, hands-on. I am asking for magnets, marbles, washers, tape, and string (to create our own pendulums), a book about Galileo and his discoveries, and a storage container to preserve and organize our physics lab resources.

My third graders will be a "force" to be reckoned with once they read all about Galileo and explore his laws of physics, understand gravity, and conduct experiments using these resources.

It is especially magnetizing to learn about how the world around us works, but concepts in this abstract are usually hard for third graders to understand. With these resources, they will grow to understand through hands-on activities, observations, and personal discoveries. Thank you for helping me provide my students with such awesome learning experiences!
