Forces, Biology & Waves....Oh My!

Help me give my students a love for science by allowing them to see cells under a microscope, how a wave forms and about Newton's laws.

My Students

All of my students are virtual. They come from 16 middle schools from all around the county and I teach them 7th or 8th grade science. I rarely get to meet them face to face, but am blessed to see them daily through virtual meetings 4 days a week and teach them through video lessons and activities 1 day week.

Many of my students have health problems or their family members have health problems, so they are unable to attend in-person school.

I have 20 eighth graders and 22 seventh graders. They are all eager to learn even though many of them face enormous challenges in one way or another.

My Project

I am a 7th & 8th grade virtual Science teacher. I try my very best to give students "hands on" virtual materials to aid them in have a love and passion for Science.

My plan is to have some of these models on display so that I can manipulate them virtually and ask students questions as to what happens if I did this or that to make them inquire more about scientific principles.

Seeing hands on materials virtually, but in real time allows students to get up close and have more specific think time about what process is occurring.
